Changes in law meant that Pennine Way Preserves had to look at their labels and that meant it was a chance to refresh their brand. This artisan food producer has been making preserves the traditional way for over 40 years. We presented 2 routes, contemporary and traditional and after much discussion, they opted for the traditional route, feeling that it would be more appreciated by their many, loyal customers. The new look honoured their reputation but still had stand appeal out on the supermarket shelves.
Pennine Way Preserves has over 15 products and applying the brand to all of these, required meticulous attention to detail. Our creative team had to first develop the chosen route, then commission the illustrations and work with the illustrator to tweak the delicate designs to final perfection. Then, all the detailed information required by food standards had to be painstakingly added to each label, without losing the integrity of the design before making them print ready.
