Visit Lancaster Website

We’ve been working with Lancaster City Council since 2015 when we rebranded the Light up Lancaster event, designed and built the new website. We beat 8 other agencies to win the account. We’ve been working with Lancaster City Council since 2015 when we rebranded the Light up Lancaster event, designed and built the new website. We beat 8 other agencies to win the account.

This is what they said: “A number of excellent agencies showed us their best thinking and creativity and we were inspired by all of them. When it came to it, one agency stepped beyond all others with their strategic thinking, endless creativity, and knowledge of our audience – and this agency was Better with Jam.”

And, now we’re really proud to announce that after a brand photo shoot we have designed and built Lancaster’s very own visitor website.

Here’s the latest press release from Lancaster City Council:

Lancaster City Council has launched an exciting new website which offers visitors to Lancaster a one stop destination to learn about all the city has to offer, from events to places to stay,

Visitlancaster.org.uk, supported by Lancaster BID and built by local agency Better with Jam, uses the destination branding specially created to market the city to visitors.

The mobile friendly site provides everything a visitor would need to plan a short break with user friendly filter options to find the perfect place to stay, visitor attractions and restaurants.

Coun Darren Clifford, Cabinet Member with responsibility for tourism, said “The visitor economy is now worth over £400 million to the local economy and this website provides a great platform for promoting Lancaster’s fantastic heritage, culture and retail offer. The website will also work effectively alongside our Visitor Information Centre and social media feeds in promoting and responding to enquiries across a variety of channels. We will be working with partners to produce a similar dedicated website for our other key destination, Morecambe Bay.”

Rachael Wilkinson, the Lancaster BID Manager added “We have been very pleased to have supported the production of this website and one which will help promote our events, campaigns and businesses for a more prosperous city centre. The timing is great as we have produced a new visitor leaflet for Lancaster which can work alongside the website as a means of attracting the attention of potential visitors located across the region.”
